An e-visa is not really an e-visa but a group visa.Y ou can only apply for this visa if
you are traveling with 2 or more people at the same time and those people do not
have a visa yet.

No, the e-visa is issued in China by the immigration department/port visa division.

You can apply for the visa a year in advance, but it will only be sent from China 14
days before your departure. You will then have already received permission.

The visa is valid for 30 days upon arrival in China. So you can stay in China for 30
days. Hong Kong does not count. Russia people needs also a visa for Hong Kong
and Sud Africa people can only stay visa free for 15 days in Hong Kong.

The e-visa for China is a single entry. This means that you can only enter once with
this visa into China after that, you can also stay in HK for 30 days exact for Russia
and for Sud Africa 15 days

No, it is a separate A4 sheet that you have to keep with your passport when
checking in at the airport, customs and hotels. So don't lose it.
